SOURCE: blowing cold air
I had the same problem that I just fix by flushing the heater core out with a hose. take the two hoses off the fire wall and put the water to it and let flush. my heater is putting out 150 dg. F of hot air. I'm so excited! i will stay warm now.

Sounds like either the valve which lets water into the heater core is not working properly or the vacuum operated door which directs blower motor air over the heater core is not opening, Could be a vacuum hose loose or it has a hole in it.

Check the water control valve behind the engine close to the firewall. This valve opens and closes to allow hot coolant to enter the heater core. It is usually connected to the heater controls with a cable. When you adjust the heater control for heat, a cable activated lever on the valve should move and allow coolant to move through the valve. The cable from the heater control can come loose from the lever, or the valve itself can become corroded and hard to move.

Yes, that would indicate a stuck thermostat:
This is how you change it, or have it changed:
Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery (if you have an anti-theft radio, make sure you have the code)
Drain the cooling system. Drain petcock is at the bottom of the radiator. (if the coolant is fairly new, save it)
Follow the LOWER radiator hose to the thermostat housing.
Compress the hose clamp with pliers and work the hose off the housing (you might want to replace the clamp with a better type when you put it back).
Remove the bolts and detach the housing cover. If the cover is stuck, tap it with a soft-faced hammer to jar it loose. Be prepared for some coolant to spill out when the gasket seal is broken.
IMPORTANT: Note how the thermostat is installed (which end is facing out) then remove the thermostat.
Stuff a rag in the opening, then carefully clean off any remaining gasket and/or sealant from the housing and the cover with a scraper. Remove the rag and wipe the surfaces.
Install the new thermostat in the housing, making sure the correct end faces out and make sure the air bleed (usually a little arrow) is at the top.
Apply a thin coat of RTV sealant to both sides of the new seal (gasket) and position it on the housing and replace the cover and the bolts. Tighten to 9 ft.lbs torque.
Replace the hose and clamp. Refill the coolant system (radiator).
Run the engine until warm and check for leaks and proper gauge temp, and check your overflow bottle in case more coolant is needed.

It sounds to me like you have a plugged heater core, or one that is beginning to plug. With the engine running, carefully feel the two hoses that lead from the engine into the heater core in the firewall. If one of those hoses is colder than the other one then you heater core needs to be replaced. This involves removing a bunch of stuff under the dash. Sometimes it's pretty easy and sometimes not. Start by removing the glove box and you should be able to see the plastic housing for the heater core.
