Question about 2003 Jeep Liberty
My daughter rear ended another car while I was on holidays. Now the transmission seems to be slipping. The car is making a clunking sound when I put it in full time 4 wheel drive and when I try to put it in reverse, it only drive a few feet and then stops. My husband says it needs transmission fluid, but I don't know how to check it. It seems to me that I am supposed to leave it running while I check it, is that correct?
If your low on trans fluid you have a leak the accident caused you might of cracked the transfer case loosing fluid put paper on the ground under the car by the trans and see where the leak is . then put fluid in it and take it to a trans shop so they can put it on a lift for further inspection. or take to a good mech that you know
