I disconnected the air charge temp sensor truck runs fine I put a new one in and it still runs bad

I have done a complete tune up I also cut the converter it's a 94 blazer 4.3

1- check there is spark come from spark wires
2- check the fire timing by looking for every wire in the right place
3- check there is injector signl
4- check for any vacuom leak
5- try to clean the MAF by brake and parts cleaner
6- try to reset all the code and see what will come after that

The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve is an important part of the exhaust circulation system of a vehicle. EGR valves have been in use in the United States since the 1960s, when car companies were seeking ways to increase the efficiency of vehicles while also decreasing pollution. When the EGR valve is clogged or malfunctioning, it can cause irregularities in engine performance such as rough idling or valve knock, indicating that the EGR valve should be inspected.
The EGR valve works by routing a small amount of exhaust back into the combustion chamber, where it can be reused. This is done for a number of reasons. The primary reason is that a certain temperature is required in the combustion chamber, and exhaust is much warmer than air taken in from the outside. As a result, the engine need not work as hard to heat the combustion chamber to optimal temperature. The second reason is that the use of an EGR valve helps to reduce nitrogen oxides, which will combine with elements in the atmosphere to form smog.
Many EGR valves are mechanical, and simply have a small valve which opens to allow exhaust into the combustion chamber and closes when it is not necessary, and to keep the air mixture optimal for combustion. Some mechanical versions will not open until there is sufficient back pressure, ensuring that the valve will not be open when the engine is idle or warming up and needs a higher concentration of oxygen for combustion. Electronic EGR valves are also available, and use electronics to regulate the valve.
If the EGR valve is stuck open, it will essentially cause a vacuum leak, leading to inefficient combustion, rough idling, hesitation, and sometimes stalling in extreme cases. This is because the car cannot combust on carbon dioxide from the tailpipe alone-it needs atmospheric oxygen as well. If the combustion chamber is flooded with exhaust from an open EGR valve, it will not function properly. To check and see if the EGR valve is stuck open, have someone idle a parked vehicle with the brake on while you examine the plunger shaft to see if it is stuck open.
If the EGR valve is stuck closed, emissions of nitrogen oxides will rise, and the car may start to knock. Spark knock happens when the fuel mixture in the combustion chamber ignites before it has been reached by the explosion in the cylinder, resulting in a disruption of the engine timing. In this instance, the engine should be warmed up and revved to see if the EGR valve will move.
In both cases, simple repairs are possible. The EGR valve can be clogged, and a simple cleaning of a mechanical EGR valve may solve the problem. In the case of an electrically controlled EGR valve or a more complex mechanical problem, replacement of the valve may be needed. The EGR valve is an expensive motor vehicle component, and care should be taken to ensure that it needs to be replaced rather than repaired. A reputable mechanic should advise you appropriately.
Failure to repair or replace the EGR valve will not lead to a life threatening condition, although it will reduce the life of your car and increase the potential emissions. Especially in areas which require smog testing, an automobile with a malfunctioning EGR valve may not pass.

You have TBI, check the two injectors for a "V" or cone style, spray pattern. There shouldn't be any dripping. Also check the TBI assembly for any leaks. The fuel pressure regulator is mount at the rear part f the TBI. If the diaphram is damaged it could cause exsesive fuel to dump into the engine.

As to the 1990 Jeep YJ I asked about,engine is running, starts and idles fine. When you try to accelerate, acts sluggish until engine starts to warm up, then runs normal. Have changed the temp sensor.

Have you done a complete tune up ? To include replacing the fuel filter ? Are you the original owner of this Jeep ? If no, may have worn engine cylinders, piston rings, or bad valves. Many things could cause this problem.

Does engine stumble and idle too low and die? This can be tune up issues, dirty idle air motor, dirty or sticking EGR, bad coolant temp sensor, clogged cat converter or muffler, bad O2 sensor, weak coil of bad ignition module, and more! You need diagnostic tests and readings.

There are 2 temp sending units on this. One is for your gauge or light and the other one feeds info to the ecm. I think the one for the ecm is bad ,so the ecm thinks the engine is cold all the time Hope this helps

hi, does it run fine when its cold then play up when it gets warm or up to near normal running temp, if this is the case then the chances are the oxygen sensor needs replacing, if it runs rough from cold then it could be mass air flower sensor

IT CERTAINLY CAN BE THE PROBLEM. The air flow sensor if a VITAL part of your fuel delivery and emmision's system. Your mixture is controlled by a computer that uses the sensor data from that device. If you possibly can get the old one, put it back on. It is possible that I may not be totally right about this point but the operation of your engine is dependent on all the parts being there.
and also i have no codes and no ck engine light on.
There may not be code for a missing part. That system is not perfect.

Some sensors on cars will not set a code untill 3 to 5 minutes of drive time. So uplugging them and plugging them back in will not set a code. Also some of them will not set a code until the car has been driven twice, this is called a two trip code set. If you haven't already done this I would do a tune up, ie plugs wires cap rotor air and fuel filter these are the most common fixes for bad fuel economy.

Black smoke is from an excessively rich mixture. Blue is oil, white is antifreeze.
Lots of possibilities.
If rough running, a fouled plug or shorting plugwire.
If uniform to all cylinders, plugged air cleaner, bad oxygen sensor, bad temperature sensor, bad air mass sensor, weak coil, retarded ignition, etc.
Start with a tune up.
Try a smaller sparkplug gap.
See if unplugging the oxygen sensor or temp sensor makes a difference. Each should.
