Output speed sensor for jetta 2000

Have a repair shop diagnose & find the
real cause of the issues, not change parts
when they are guessing & proper testing
wasn't done to determine they failed

My 2002 Grand Prix sounds fine upon starting. When I get to 45 mph, it starts to sound as if it's working harder. It's like a loud hum starts and gets louder as it goes up to 60 mph. As I decrease...

Front Wheel Bearing Hub

You will have to remove the brake calipers, hang it,&
remove the rotor, then you can turn the hub & feel the
roughness.

ROCK AUTO.com for parts & look at that hub, so you
match it up the same. Don't get in love with one brand
you like, if the hub looks different at the back where the
speed sensor goes in

You also may find your self buying a torx socket or metric
socket driver to get the speed sensor out. Maybe not

If tools are needed,do yourself a favor & step inside a Snap-On
Truck & just buy one item or so. If you don't ,you won't find those
items anywhere

My car, an xjs 4lt, 1996 cele', it has a aj16 engine, the idle speed is too fast & will not reduce, i've checked the butterfly & that seems ok, i don't know whether or not the step...

Too fast an idle speed. If an engine without computerized idle speed control is idling too fast and refuses to come down to a normal idle speed despite your best efforts to back off the carburetor idle speed screw or air bypass adjustment screw (fuel injection), air is getting past the throttle somewhere. Common leak paths include the carburetor and throttle body gaskets, carburetor insulator spacers, intake manifold gaskets, and of course, any of the engine's vacuum fittings, hoses and accessories. It is even possible that leaky O-rings around the fuel injectors are allowing air to leak past the seals. Another overlooked item can be a worn throttle shaft and a defective idle speed speed control motor/valve stuck in the extended (high idle speed) position/throttle position sensor. Also the throttle plate could be binding in its bore and kinked accelerator cable, coolant temperature sensor might not be operating properly misleading the computer that the engine is still cold and computer throwing fuel at it raising the idle speed.----------

Getting this possibilities checked will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

ABS and Brake lights are on, Speed Odom not working, changed speed Odom sensor on trans, still didn't work, HELP

there is a ABS sensor on the rear differential that also works as a vehicle speed sensor. most likely tkis sensor is causing your concern.

I have a 2001 aztek. ABS light comes on. But my biggest problem seems to be that my car jerks like it is the transmission slipping. My husband had it looked at and was told it is the speed control censor....

Get Another Car--LOL

Really --just throw that one away

Can you afford to do that?

When it was looked at ,why didn't you have it repaired?

The ABS Light is on -- so why wasn't that issue
diagnosed & repaired. That may be a Wheel Speed Sensor

Not the same thing as a transmission output speed sensor

I think vehicle technology is beyond your learning curve, at the
moment

Where is the input speed sensor located on tranny replaced once by auto tec 1.5 yrs ago this time i will do

Here's the problem

Was the vehicle tested at all & for what issue?

Was there data for the speed sensor that wasn't right,
& was it component tested?

OBD2 Codes or check lights on your dash,do not
indicate a need to change anything

I would doubt that the sensor failed in 1.5 years or
even when it was repalced
