You will need to get the wiring diagrams for the car and trace all wires and components operated by that fuse, check each wire and unplug the parts and see if the fuse blows until you find the short circuit.

Where is the fuse for cruise control in a buick century and what are some reasons cruise control may not work?

Need to know what year the car is and what engine, it makes a difference. Possible causes could be a fuse, cruise ECU, vacuum line(if vacuum actuated), cruise servo(if electronically actuated), cruise switch, wiring, cruise cable. There are lots of possibilities, but if you can tell me the year and engine size that will help.

2005 Chrysler town&country cruise control stopped working

Does the cruise control lights come on when you select it? If it doesn't then you may want to check the fuse(s) that give the system power. If the fuse is blown then try replacing it. If it blows again when you try to use the cruise control then the unit it self may be bad and need replacing. You can find the fuse box location and the right fuse for it in the owners manual of the car.

Blow ecu cruise control eat ecu control when turn on key

If there is another fuse for the cruise control, pull it out and try again. I'm thinking maybe you could disable the cruise control somehow, and see if that system is blowing the fuse. Could be some bad wiring somewhere in the wiring harness. Try to isolate it to a specific system or circuit.

Speedometer and cruise control not working

Look in your owner's manual for the fuse layout and see where the cruise system fuse is and check it for a blown fuse. If it is replace with the rating listed in the guide. If not then you may have to have an automotive electric shop troubleshoot the cause such as a bad ground, blown inline fusible link or other. If it is a fuse and you replace it and all is working then it blows again you should have a shop troubleshoot the cause. Blown fuses generally are due to a short in the circuit. On some vehicles the "clockspring" in the steering column can cause lack of operation in the horn and cruise control but since you mentioned speedometer and cruise it is likely a fuse.

What fuse is speed control

First, Please review these articles:

Where's The Fuse?

What Else Could Be Wrong?

Then to answer the question you asked...

There are actually three fuses involved in your cruise control system.

> The first is the "Cruise Control, EAT ECU" fuse. it is Fuse #4 in the Underdash Fuse And Relay Box. it is a 7.5 Amp fuse. This fuse also powers the gauge assembly, the alternator control circuit, the Radiator Fan Control Module, the Intake Air Bypass Control Solenoid Valve, The EGR Control Solenoid Valve, The EVAP Canister Bypass Solenoid Valve, the EVAP Canister Vent Control Solenoid and the Heated Oxygen Sensor Heater circuits. If this fuse is blown, the engine will not idle, The alternator will not charge the battery and the transmission will not shift properly. In general, a whole bunch of stuff will not be working.

> Next is the "Backup, Metering Lights, Turn Signals" fuse. It is Fuse #1 in the Underdash Fuse And Relay Box. It is a 10 Amp fuse. As you can tell by the description, your backup lights, dash warning lights and turn signals will also not be working if this fuse is blown.

> Last there is the "Stop Light, Horn" fuse. It is Fuse #30 in the Underhood Fuse And Relay Box located at the right rear of the engine compartment. It is a 20 Amp fuse. As you might guess, your horn and stop lamps will also not be working if this fuse is blown.

Does a blown fuse for cruise control affect the ABS light on the dash

I don't think that the cruise control fuse affects the ABS. Try to replace the cruise control fuse, though, to see if it affects anything else, or if it blows again, indicating a circuit fault.
