It`s off its track. Window regulators are mostly if not all plastic. You would have to get the door panel off to see what`s up.The plastic can get very brittle from heat.

SOURCE: the driver's side power window is stuck half way up on 1998 buick century limited. What is the problem?

It could be the fuse, does it go down? If not chk. fuse, if fuse ok, see if you can help it down by pushing down on window wile working switch, and also same wile trying to go up, if it don't work or if its slow chanses are the motor is tired and needs replaced or its lost power like bad switch or broken wire. there is also a chanse it came off the track in witch case the door panel will have to be removed.

SOURCE: window goes up then down half way on drivers side

I know this answer is going to sound strange but I had exactly the same problem on a 2007 93 convertible. When you closed the window it would reach the top and then go back down half way. You could edge the window up slowly but as soon as it reached the top it opened again. This was solved by taking to a dealer and upgrading the software for the windows under the manufacturers warranty. There is a firmware update that adjusts the sensitivity for the sensors and solved the problem instantly and i've had no problems for over two months.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: VW Beetle the drivers side window goes half way up but stops

sounds like you have a bad regulator. this is caused by the cables in the regulator becomming dry and start to bind up and then break causing the window to free fall down.

Front wheel is bumpy at low speed. 4x4 stuck?

If the 4wd was engaged on dry pavement you would have a difficult time making a turn because the front tires would be turning at the same time.
If the bump or vibration is felt when you are driving down a straight road I would agree with the ball joint or other suspension theory.
I will note here that Jeep Cherokee came with two different kinds of 4wd, one version can be driven on dry roads when engaged.

Before you replace anything, inspect the connector pins in both the driver's door switch and the passenger door switch. If you don't find any problem with these connector pins, replace the driver's door control switch.

Hello I hav a 2001 dodge durango that is saying its out of fuel. We put fuel in it, changed the fuel pump, nothing has worked. It reads a code "no BU5". does anyone have any suggestions as to what the...

It could be a stuck floater in the tank, or a bad fuel gage. Most linley it's a stuck flaoter. The tank has to be removed in order to fix. It sounds dumb bt works sometimes. With aprox. Half a tank bounce the vehicle or go on a bumpy road which will make the back end bounce. It might help it unjam itself. Also try rocking it side to side

Noise in the stearing when turning and a clunking noise on the front left driver side at low speeds.

Hi, the problem your having could be one of a few things it could be either of these:
1st and most likely would be that the track rod end needs replacing if this is the case then its advised that you get both sides done at the same time.

2nd it could be that the bottom ball joint is on its way out and needs replacing it advised to replace both sides also.

3rd it could be that the roll bar bushes have gone and will need replacing its advised to do both sides

4th and least likely would be that the wheel bearing is on the way out and needs replacing if its this then you dont need to do both sides just the side thats at fault.

If your driving down a bumpy road you hear a knocking noise coming from the front end then the chances are that its going to be either the bottom ball joint or the roll bar bushes need replacing.
If you drive down a bumpy road and you dont hear any noise then this points to the track rod end being at fault.

To be on the safe side unless you know what your looking for it is best left to a pro to look at this problem for you.
Not correcting this problem could cause serious harm to you and others if these parts were to fail completely it would mean a very expensive repair and could cause bad accident.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assitance ok

I have a 2005 Denali it rides very bumpy. I seem to feel every bump in the road. Also it has lots of wind noise on the highway. Are there any corrections for these problems.

if there is wind noise it's most like due to your door seals or window seals not fitting properly. your vehicle is only 3 years old so i don't think they are dry rotted so maybe they just aren't sealing good. a good way to take care of this is to wipe them down with mineral oil. this will keep them soft and that way they seal real good to the metal surface. as far as the bumpy ride it would seem that perhaps your shocks or struts are weak they keep the wheels on the road where springs keep the body off the frame and axles. hope this helps please rate this. thanks.
