Question about Cars & Trucks
My Nissan terrano 1992 won't change to A/T or power. IT seems to only work in hold. How is this fixed? I have been told it could be a vacuum seal problem, and that the gear box may need to be pulled apart and it would cost a heap to fix, but this was a guess. I thought maybe there is just a trick to using it properly, as I have no drivers manual. I can be hopeful any way. This is my first 4wd and first diesel, so any help is appreciated
I think I bought it

If you are going for the flush where you run a chemical through the system and then change the filter and gasket, use something called Seafoam. You can get this stuff at most autoparts stores. It is some of the best for this kind of issue. Follow the instructions on the can and this should lead to a fix.

Welcome to Fixya
The relay is loacted in the fusebox. It is clearly labeled along with the fuses. Relays are large and usually black. To test it, have someone press the window switch with the engine off you should hear it click. If it clicks its working, if not then you need to replace it.
Thank you for using Fixya!
