You have to take apart the 4x4 hub to get to the lock nut for the bearings then you have to reome the hub and rotor assy, then you have to press the wheel studs out to remove the rotor, then reverse the process.

SOURCE: removing the front brake rotor from the hub housing

You need to take the rotor/hub off the spindle. So you'll need to remove the wheel bearings in order for it to come off. Once off theres bolts in the back of the rotors bolted to the hub.

SOURCE: removal off fromt brakes and rotos on 4x4

Disc Brake Pads Removal & Installation Front To Remove:

  1. Remove the cover on the master cylinder and siphon out 2/3 of the fluid. This step prevents spilling fluid when the piston is pushed back into the caliper bore.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle safely.
  3. Remove the wheel and tire assembly.
  4. Compress the brake piston back into its bore using a C-clamp.
  5. Remove the 2 caliper mounting bolts. Lift the caliper off the rotor.
  6. Remove the inboard and outboard brake pads.
  7. Remove and discard the anti-rattle clips.
To Install:

  1. Thoroughly inspect, clean and lubricate all caliper slide points, bolts and hardware.
  2. Install new anti-rattle clips.
  3. Position the inboard and outboard pads into the support bracket
  4. With the 2 pads in position, place the caliper over the brake rotor and align the holes in the caliper with those of the mounting bracket.
    1. Install the caliper mounting bolts through the sleeves in the inboard caliper ears and into the mounting bracket.
    2. Tighten the mounting bolts to: 74 ft lb. (110 Nm) 1500 series
    • 80 ft lb. (110 Nm) 25/3500 series.
    1. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Lower the vehicle.
    2. Add fluid to the master cylinder reservoirs so they are 1/4 in. (6.35mm) from the top.
    3. Test the brake pedal by pumping it to obtain a hard pedal. Check the fluid level and add fluid as necessary.

How to change front disc brake pads on 2000 Mazda Bravo B2500

jack up car, remove the road wheels, at the rear of the caliper you will have 2 or 3 bolts holding the caliper onto the stub axle, remove the bolts and remove the caliper, remove the outer pad, leave the inner pad in place and use a "G" clamp to compress the brake piston until it has bottomed, if this is not done the new pads will not fit back over the rotor as the piston is too far out and the new pads are thicker than the old ones.
place the new pads in the caliper and fit over the rotor, replace the 2 or 3 bolts that hold the caliper in place, replace the road wheel, tighten the nuts and lower the car to the ground, pump the brake pedal to see if you have brakes, if you do have brakes take it for a test drive away from any traffic if possible
