SOURCE: gmc Envoy with erratic fuel gauge.

I have found that just about 100% of the time this condition is caused by a defective fuel gauge sending unit in the gas tank.

SOURCE: where is the fuel pump cut off switch located

The fuel pump relay is located in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) under the hood. The inside top of the PDC cover has a label showing relay and fuse location. The relay supplies battery voltage to the fuel pump. A buss bar in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) supplies voltage to the solenoid side and contact side of the relay. The PCM controls the fuel pump relay by switching the ground path for the solenoid side of the relay on and off. The PCM turns the ground path off when the ignition switch is in the Off position. When the ignition switch is in the On position, the PCM energizes the fuel pump. If the crankshaft position sensor does not detect engine rotation, the PCM de-energizes the relay after approximately one second.

Locating fuel pump reset switch on 03 GMC ENVOY

There is not a reset switch on a Envoy. If your pump is not running check the fuse and the relay. If you are getting power to the relay and the relay is operating, it is time to drop the tank.

I have a 2005 gmc envoy 4.2 and secdonary fuel injector error code. what is this?

DTC P0542 - Fuel pump secondary circuit?

That code isusually set when the inertia switch is tripped or been unplugged while doing a fuel injection service. Being that you have fuel pressure the pump is working and is most likely a memory code. Disconnect the battery and recheck for codes, perform anothe key on engine off test. and see if the same code resets. If it doesnt start try running the vehicle with your foot on the gas with it open part throttle, if it runs and holds an idle it is a sticking idle air control valve.

Hope this helps.

Where is the fuel pump located on a 1999 GMC Envoy?

Your fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank of your Envoy. It can only be replaced by removing the tank, then taking the pump out of the tank.

How to replace fuel filter on 2005 GMC Envoy

First check to see if you have a fuel filter. It will be located between tank and engine. Apparently, some Envoys do not have a filter, just a screen mounted on underside of fuel pump which is in fuel tank.
