SOURCE: Isuzu rodeo leaking coolant from engine

with my experiance on these engines it's usually the upper outlet hoses running from the heads into a t then into the upper radiator hose they are pain to replace but 3 out of 3 of my v6 isuzu's have had the same problem you'll have to pull off the theromstat and the coil pack the hoses are very small and run from the end of the heads one on each into a t then into the radiator hose just under the housing

My 96 Isuzu Rodeo bogs down even up the slightest incline. No power whatsoever even at a complete stop. What could be the issue? Backfires as well giving it more gas on the pedal.

no engine stated v6 ,I4> what?and size,
i say cam belt slipped, ever like do that belt service ever 60,000 miles>> be wise.
the back fire to the air cleaner box is huge clue.
or was that to the end of tail pipe or muffler explosions

do tell.

the v6 engines have cam belt.
as does the I-4s
all belt cam engines, love to retard cam cam timing
as the crank lurches ahead of cam.
the will cause backfiring. due to valve closing late. grossly,

I have a '98 Rodeo with a bad engine. Can I replace it with a '97 Passport engine? Does anyone know what is different?

no the engine is totally different. The .98 engine has a different crankshaft reluctor to fire the plugs as the 97 does not.

Isuzu rodeo 97, A/C no work if on number 3 only

try checking out your blower speed control resistors. follow your power wire from blower to the resistors, to locat, should be in duct in front of blower for cooling. I hope this helps, if the resistors pack is good only think else is a bad switch
