Question about 2001 Buick Century
When the vehicle is started the DRL comes on like they should but the left front corner light also comes on which I believe should till the left turn signal is on at least thats the way it works on the right side I checked for a short but havent found one yet could it be the multi switch and if so why doesnt the left turn bulb light up as well as the cornor light does any help would be greatful
Sounds like a bad ground. Check the ground wire, or try cleaning the bulb circuit. If the bulb is good, it's most likely the ground. Hope that helps.

check wire contacts in socket. If they are melted change the socket
It can be removed easily just unplug the wires.
I have replaced both front sockets on my 1999 Buick Century.
Hope this helps.

I dealt with a similar problem on an 01 Alero (very similar car) and found that the wire that grounds the signal filament of the bulb was broken inside the harness. I tapped into it and grounded it to the chassis and resolved the problem. It's no guarantee but if you have a multimeter, check each wire's continuity to ground as well as the impedance between each of the wires on the harness, on both front signals (for comparison purposes), and it'll show you if you have a problem such as the one I dealt with.

Hi,You have either a bad wire or bulb socket. You will need a 12 volt test light. The wire could be broken or greened out.I would start with the bulb socket check for green, rusted or broken terminals.2.check for power at the first connector with test light.3 if there's a trailer hitch check where the trailer plug was wired in for green or broken wires. If you do have a trailer pluge and it was put in with push together clips, replace them with **** connectors. If you havent found power yet keep moving forward untill you find power.I hope this helps.if you have any more questions just ask and I'll try to help. Thank You for using fixya..........iluv2fish..........Ray.......

Gday mate, we had a problem with another late model vehicle similar to that, the bulb that was put into the reverse light was not exact brand product ( ohmage was slightly wrong ) and fowled up computer, correct bulb in place and disconnect battery to reset K A M ( keep alive memory) problem solved, BEWARE, some vehicles cannot have KAM reset except for dealer computer tethered reboot , just try putting the factory correct bulb(s) in and see how it goes, geoff. hope this helped.
