It is a long sensor with a special fitting, you can get the oil sending unit socket at your local parts store that attaches to a ratchet, it is a little tricky to reach, you have to try different size extensions to get the best reach.
it just turns counter clockwise to remove and clockwise to tighten.

SOURCE: replace horn fuse in fuse panel of 1992 pontiac bonneville

Your fuse box is located on the driver side under the dash board. Up above where your brake and gas pedal are located. There should be a plastic cover that can be snapped off to reveal all of your fuses and on the inside of this plastic cover there should be a diagram of the fuses that are in use.

Engine computer supplies voltage through oil pressure switch. No oil pressure no power to fuel pump. Turn key on you should get a 12volt shot to fuel pump to prime system. After that the oil pressure switch has to be good to continue to hive 12volts to pump

Oil pressure on Pontiac Bonneville 1999

Nope.

if your really curious you can remove the oil pressure sensor and install an oil pressure gauge. If the oil pressure reads steady on the gauge replace the sensor. The sensors are pretty common to fail.

You have a leak somewhere. Clean all the system hoses and the pump and rams. Start car, Get someone to work thet steering and check everything for leaks. Oil seals on the pump can leak when worn.

I have a 1999 Pontiac Bonneville SE and something is wrong with my power steering. It's not low or leaking fluid, the pump and the pressure hose are not leaking, but my power steering does not work unless...

sounds like the power steering pump is the problem. check the drive belt for proper tension and if that looks fine - then replace the pump.
the reason it only works when you step on the gas is because the pump is moving faster then at idle. which is why I think it could just be a loose belt. but again - if the belt looks good and tight, then the pump is bad and needs replacing.
