Locate your fuel filter, it's underneath usually on the same side as your fuel fill cap. Disconnect the line going into the filter from the tank. Turn the ignition on(no need to crank it), if fuel comes out? your pump is good. Now reconnect the line, and disconnect the line on the other side of the filter, turn the ignition on, if no fuel comes out? then you know the filter is bad.

check the pressure and flow , if the pressure in the fuel rail is ok the injectors must have fuel to them as they are connected to the rail, may be there is no pulse to the injectors they get a pulse from the computer . if there is no pulse check the fuses.

Ive got a 1997 cavalier it will start but quickly dies out ive got fire to my plugs and fuel to the injectures ive just replaced the ignition switch is there somkind of a security

You need a new fuel pump relay. The engine fires up and runs off the oil pressure switch untill the oil pressure PSI is reached at normal operating conditions. When the oil pressure reaches its operating PSI the PCM or engines computer will shut off that circuit and turns on the fuel pump relay to run the fuel pump untill you shut the engine off

Fuel injectures wont fire in my 95 chevy 1500

Do you have fuel pressure? Buy or borrow a noid light, it plugs in to the injector plug and lets you see if the injector is getting the electrical pulse it needs to work. If the noid light flashes you need to look at fuel pressure, bad pump, clogged filter etc. If it doesent flash look at the ecu or distributor pick up
