Have a 1992 chevy g20 van. the van has a tv/vcr

you'd have to find out what colored wire is behind the plugged in vcr wire theres gonna be a black n red , or black n yellow ( something like that) the black is ground ( frame/body Connected) the colored wire will usually be the powered side. , then follow that colored wire to the fuse box and relocate that powered side wire to connect to another wire , down at the fuse box that powers up with the key on. just connect it to the appropriate wire. stereo shops or car dealerships can fix that issue real quick. normally for a few dollars.

How to install a tv in the trunk of a car ?

Hi Shortstop,

Trying to keep the kiddies from kicking dents into the trunk lid?

First you need a TV that can run on 12VDC.

Unless you have a long spool of coax cable, thanks to the conversion to digital your also going to need a VCR or DVD player that runs on 12 volts.

If the TV and accessories or going to be used when the car isn't running, it would be a good idea to get a second battery to power them.

Hook it up to the charging system through an isolator. This keeps the primary from draining to play the tv, your car will always start. Both batteries charge while the engine is running.

Thats about it without more detail from you about your needs and seating arrangements..

Best regards

Tv and vcr are not working and all fuses have been checked

i believe you are mistakenly confusing your livingroom with your automobile. Please get up off the couch, walk outside and the box with 4 wheels is the vehicle.

p.s. have you paid your cable bill and checked that the items are in the "On" position?

If the system is the one that was factory installed, it does not need cables. The VCR slides into the console and makes it's connection via a connector on the bottom of the unit. The connector panel that is on the rear of the console, facing the rear passenger seats, are there to allow you to plug in a DVD , video game, or MP3 player. If your Windstar has the remote control, it is easier to program, but you can program everything from the front radio controls.
Hope this helps.
