Question about 2000 Acura TL
I've seen this problem in old crappy cars that I've purchased, but I knew that they had these problems. My 2003 TL leaks fumes into the car when idling or stopped for even a short time like at a stop light. I was told by the dealership that it was never winter driven, 130,000 km, yet it's leaking fumes into the cabin (Yet it passed emission and certification testing). I think it's a leak, and in my honest opinion think that's dangerous seeing suffocation by fumes is how some people die in cars. Any suggestions? They put a sweet smelling perfume when I complained about it and it still has the 30 day warranty on it.
Get them to check the full exaust and the seals around the doors look for splits ect the garage will try to fob you off stick to them and put the complaint in righting as a back up for a solicitor dont know what they mean by winter driven shouldent make any difference how or when it was driven there is a fault and you concerns need to be addressed hope this helps ivan uk

SOURCE: 2004 Acura MDX Water Leak
The 2002 MDX I worked on turned out to be a drainage problem . Seems the factory installed foam in the bottom of the hinge pillar post which blocked the drain holes . Take off the mud flap , remove enough of the splash shield to access the bottom of the hinge pillar and drill a half inch hole at the front lower corner aiming the drill slightly upward ( be sure to protect the bare metal) .Water gushed out when I did this. For extra ins. remove the kick panels and check for two holes a few inchs from the floor, plug and chaulk these holes. Hope this worksfor you too

it is probably the blower motor resistor, had the same problem on 2003 CL Type s, the fans for the A/C and heat just stopped working was the symptom . The part is only about 70 dollars.
