You will have to unscrews, and pop the ball joint with seperator. A bottle jack also helps. Otherwise if you want more information, you can go to autozone.com and register for free. Then you will have full free online repair manual

The ball joints on both 2wd and 4wd upper are pressed in you need to remove snap ring and using a hammer pop out the old one out this is after you seperate the upper arm from the spindle. To install the new ball joint you should use a ball joint press that you can rent at most autoparts shops

You'll need to seperate the control arm from the wheel hub. If the ball joints are installed with rivots, you'll need to grind off the heads and knock them out with a punch. The new ball joints should have bolts and nuts to reinstall the new ball joints. Don't forget to grease the new ones, they come with very little grease installed.

How do i replace lower ball joint on a 2006 chrysler 300c?

This is not a do it at home repair. If the ball joint is replaceable, you will need a special press to remove/ install it. In some cases the ball joint is non replaceable and the entire control arm will be required. Have a pro do it at a shop

CHANGING BALL JOINTS

a balljoint removal tool is definately the proper way to remove the ball joints. harbour freight does carry them but there not the best tool provider. also if the ones your replacing aren't greaseable your better off putting greaseable fittings will defineatly make a difference.

i enclosed a link with more helpful tip and installation process for ball joint removal and installation
