Starting problems my jackaroo wount start i have done injectors fueling system everything i could think of and still wount start.

SOURCE: Fuel Problem

fuel pressure regulator? This diverts excess pressure from the rail back to the tank. When they wear out they usually stay stuck open thus diverting all pressure back to the tank. Pressure tests do not reveal this as pressure is checked before the rail not in it. I do believe you have a bad fuel regulator. They are 75US ouch.

check yhe fuel filter is it new if ok check the fuel pump or lift pump that may bre your problem

Best do a fuel pressure test. Should have chg. fuel filter from the get go. The only other filter is on the end of the fuel pump in tank. Bad gas and dirty gas will plug up fuel filter, hense burn pump up.

I had the exact same problem with mine. After replacing nearly everything i took it to a shop today to learn that I had a bad wire on the back of the distributor and the new fuel pump i installed from autozone was faulty and not providing enough pressure.

I agree that the problem is most likely fuel boiling off in the injectors due to heat aside from replaceing all the injectors
you are gonna have to open the hood AND hold down the purge valve and have someone crank it for you
but also don't give up yet have ya tried opening up the gas cap vent hole a bit more?

Position of the cam sensor on 96 5.7 2500 series truck


The cam sensor shows to be in distributor. Have you done any testing? Any trouble codes? If you have the spider fuel system, that system is noted for problems. Fuel pressure is critical to get it started, 60--66 psi. Fuel poppets are noted for sticking.
Did you check voltage and ground at the fuel injector, voltage is fuse protected, ground is controlled by the computer. If no ground two things I can think of to check, security system and rpm signal.
In the diagram, top wire is voltage for injectors and bottom wire is ground.

Hi..I have a 2004 turbo diesel Jackaroo that I bought about 6 months ago and its not getting any fuel through to start it..RACQ thinks its either fuel filter,fuel pump or injectors


Has to be the fuel pump. You need a set amount of pressure. The filter is unlikely to be the cause but is a cheap swap out. Injectors don't fail in my view.

WHY WOUNT MY 2001 4.6 CROWN VIC STAY STARTED MY FUEL PUMP IS GOOD FUEL FILTER IS FLOWING AND STILL NOTHING I AM GETTING FUEL TO THE INJECTORS BUT STILL NOTHING

This will provide a basic how to or DIY on how to replace your injectors, but for your specific application, we recommend you ask in our car forum.

Before You begin, It is essential to de-pressurize your fuel system. Disconnect the power to your fuel pump, by either disconnecting it's power supply, or pulling the fuel pump fuse or relay. Once the fuel pump has no power or relay installed, crank the engine for a few seconds. The engine might start, but should die a few seconds later. If it continues to idle, then you didn't disconnect your fuel pump or the correct relay.

Once the fuel system is de-pressurized, you can begin to remove various parts from the engine bay to help clear up room. On a typical system, there is a fuel feed, and fuel return. For these types of systems, you would need to disconnect both of the lines, and then disconnect the fuel pressure regulator. The fuel injectors are held in with clips that hold the harness to the injector. Remove these clips, and pop off the wiring harnesses. The fuel rail is held in with a few bolts. Remove these bolts, and then the fuel rail should be loose. Pull the fuel rail out of the intake manifold or cylinder head, and you can now easily remove the fuel injectors.

Make sure to cover the holes that are now in the intake manifold or head. Don't let any debris fall into this hole!

Pull the old fuel injectors out of the fuel rail, and then put the new injectors into the fuel rail. Make sure you have new "o" rings and you are all set. Simply put everything back together, and then don't forget to plug your fuel pump back in. The car may be hard to start the first few cranks as the fuel pressure builds, and then you are all done!

It was running fine all of the sudden it wount start it turns over and thats it i can hear the fuel pump running


make sure that the fuel injectors are getting voltage and that each cylinder is getting spark
