Chances are there is a problem with the Anti loc portion of the braking system. If the pads are fine you may have air in the system and in this case the lines would need bleeding. ( to get the air out) I recommend taking it to a reputable mechanic. If your not familiar with breaking systems.

One more problem. My Nissan Fuga vibrates when I step on the brake pedal at high speed. Does this mean I have worn out brake pads/disks?

not necessarily
if you have abs brakes it is the pulsations as the wheels lock and unlock from the abs activity
this transmits as a pulsation under your foot
it may also mean that the discs have warped and the warp is pushing the piston back in then letting the piston out
it is more noticeable at low speed light pressure stops but it depends on the speed
Take the vehicle to an accredited brake shop specialist and get a proper diagnosis done

Reset abs light pajero

When the ABS comes into play from heavy braking you will feel a pulsating of the brake pedal under your foot. This is the brake pressure, on off on off as the wheels stop start stop etc. The ABS will not control the vehicle direction but by allowing the wheels to turn under brakes and not lock up you have control of the steering and the direction the vehicle goes. The ABS will not stop you quicker and in fact on ice or loose surface the distance to stop will be increased. As I said all the ABS does is give you steering ability under brakes.. Take the vehicle to an accredited brake shop and have the ABS tested if you feel that it is no operating properly

2005 Chevy impala brake pedal pulsation with brand new rotors installed

Is your ABS working properly? Under heavy braking the ABS should engage and 'pulse' the brakes on/off. It is normal to feel the brake petal flutter or pulse under your foot.

Under light braking there should be no pulsing as the ABS does not engage and you have changed the rotors and pads.

Pulsating brakes and peddle pushing back up

This is a classic ABS problem. Either the pump or the ABS controller. But as it is causing the brake pedal to push back you should get it seen by a qualified mechanic and DON'T drive it until it is fixed.

CAR BRAKE PROBLEMS

It can be issue with master cylinder or the problem is there is still some air there in the system that has to be bleed. Or else the parts replaced are not aligned properly/.I suggest everything back.

The pulsation is normal and caused by the antilock brake system, any time the brakes are applied rapidly the abs will kick in and you will feel pulsations in the pedal.

When braking on my '04 Suburban, it pulsates like it has a warped brake rotor, but rotors are true (all four), and there is no correlating pulsation in the brake pedal, nor in the steering. Also, this...

Try pulling the fuse for the anti-lock braking system. If the problem goes away with the ABS disabled, check the wheel rotation sensors for problems, especially cracked or broken mounts or wiring issues. I'm thinking a sensor is dropping out when it gets heated by the brake and feeding bad data to the controller. The controller than treats it as a low traction situation and starts pulsing the brakes. If this is the case, you would see an ABS or Low Traction warning light on your dash.

Another possibility is a worn or loose suspension component oscillating under braking stress. In particular, check the shock absorber mounts. You could also have a pad that chatters instead of gripping the rotor cleanly - this may leave marks on the rotor, and would probably produce an audible noise.

Hello. What you are experiencing with the pulsating brakes and the brake pedal pushing back is the antilock brake system [ABS] working correctly. Joe

I changed the front rotors and brake pads once i was done i started the truck and the brake pedal went to he floor and the dash ifo said to service brakes. since than the brakes have been hard and...

It went to the floor because you had to compressed the piston to get it over the new pads and rotors. The brakes need to be pumped up after you replace pads in order for the pistons to come back in contact with the new pads and take up the gap. Pushing the pedal to the floor is never a good idea and a good way to ruin a master cylinder in older vehicles.

As far as the pulsation, have the rotors turned. Make sure the wheels are torqued to the proper spec when you are done (140 lb/ft). Pump up the pedal when you are done and you should have smooth braking.
