Question about 1999 Chevrolet Blazer
I have a 1999 chevy blazer and it won't start. I think it needs a tune-up. But when I looked under the hood, wow, I did not see any spark plugs or wires. Are they under the motor? I could use some instructions. short on cash, so I can not go to repair shop.
The spark plugs are only accessable thru the fender wells on these and are a pain to replace. Most likely that is not your starting problem however. Was it running fine one day then the next day it just wouldn't start? If that is the case it probably is a bad fuel pump. When you turn the key to the run position you should hear the fuel pump come on for 5 seconds and then shut off. It should be a medium pitch whine and sound smooth. Unfortunatly pumps for these are not cheap or are they easy to replace. You are looking at around $600 at a repair shop.

Look in the very back center of motor and you will see the distributar cap with 7 wires coming off of it. this will lead to the spark plugs that are under the exhast manifold. but i dont think this is the starting problem. what does it do when you turn the key?
