I have a 2004 Mazda 3 and just as of tonight my Low-beam lamps don't work. I do have High-beams. The fog lamps do work as well as the other lights on the car. Please reply if you have an suggestions on what to look for or do.

Same issue for me. Both low beam lights failed simultaneously as far as I can tell. I suspect the alternator/voltage regulator may be applying too high a voltage to the lights. Mine is a 2004 Mazda 3.

the same for my 2005 Mazda all the lights work except the low beams and for the first time I replaced them about 18 months ago. Looks like this might be recall item because I have read several of the same questions on the internet.

I just noticed that my low beams are out and the only thing working is the right front high beam for light so i can see at night. I bought new bulbls and replaced them. I bought new fuse's and replaced them too. i checked the wires to see if i was getting any voltage and the multi-meter only read 1 and now i am so lost i dont know what to do.

I don't mean to sound like an idiot - but did you try replacing the bulbs? It is possible for them to go out at the same time, since they are PUT IN at the same time!

Also, you could have been driving around with one of them out for some time before you noticed it and now the other is out too. I only say this, since I have been doing the same thing. I have no idea how long the bulb has been out becaus ther only reason I noticed it was out was because I pulled into a building with a glass front!

It is recommended that you buy two new bulbs at a time, anyway when you replace them...

I hope that's all it is! good luck both o'yahz!

replace the high beam switch which causes this problem. Also clean the terminals for the directional light bulb. That will cause a negative continuity to the bulb

Try changing the bulbs. No. They didn't both burn out at once. You probably drove for a while with one headlight, and didn't know it.

Could be the dimmer switch. Probably located near the base of the steering column and activated by a long rod from the lever.
