Question about 2002 Acura 3.2TL

1 Answer

My 2002 Acura TL3.2 - one day the car radio had no power. It is nto the battery disconnect problem since it is not even asking me for the code (which I know about). Is the only answer a fuse, or is there some other trick that I don't know about?

It is the code - here is how it has to be done without costing you a bunch of money - Every time the battery is disconnected this has to be done: If you have jumped or replaced the battery at anytime this will happen. You have to get the serial number off the radio by removing it or partially taking it out to see the numbers on it try not to remove any cords. With the stereo out (to make sure you get the right number off of it) call an Acura dealership with the number and they will give you the another number to enter into the stereo and directions on how to punch the numbers in. Make sure while you have the stereo out you write the serial number down and keep it in a safe place also the number that the Acura dealership gives you because if you sell the car or if it happens again its easily accessible. Good Luck!

My radio code 25451 is not unlocking my radio,on acura mdx2002 model

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

I have a 1997 acrua battery died now radio is asking for a code

when power is diconnected from your car, the radio will ask for a code. this is part of the anti theft system of your car. inside your owners manuel case, there should be a slip with the code on it.( hope its there) input this into your radio. if its not allowing you, disconnect the battery, and reconnect. this should allow you to input the code sequence.

I have a 2002 tl s type acura, I replaced the battery, now I have to put in the radio code, I have it, also verified with dealer, but after I put that in, it keep saying that was the wrong code.

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. I would call the dealership and get the radio code one more time to make sure. You need to ask them if you are entering it right.

2002 acura 3.2 tl radio code errors

You will have to go to dealer to have unlocked. The vehicle has built in theft lock system in radio. Most of them have code stored in radio that needs to be pulled before removing battery.

Changed battery of my 2002 acura mdx, need codes for radio nav

You need to get the serial number off the sticker attached to the radio and nav. It will require pulling apart your dash. Call an Acura dealership with that serial number and they should be able to provide you the code. Or you can take it directly to the dealer but you will be charged labor.

Radio pin code

Hi,

The anti theft feature has been activated. Disconnect both battery terminasl for some 30 seconds and reconnect the. If after doing this, the radio asks for a CODE, then you need the code now, but if the radio keeps displaying ERROR E the radio is bad.( the radio will never give you any code to unlock it for that purpose you must go to your nearest Acura dealer as they are authorized to retrieved it online from factory)
