SOURCE: I don't here the fuel pump ever kick on in my 1990 Ford F150, and I tested all of the fuses and they are good. I was thinking the relay for the fuel pump might be bad -- any suggestions?

It's under your hood, in one of those boxes, and should be marked. Your pump won't cut in if it's fried either. Check to see if there is power at the pump. Maybe you just have a loose wire. You can always hope!

SOURCE: 2000 ranger fuse diagram

Fuel Pump relay switch is in the main box usually located on the drivers side Fender in a black box. According to the owner's manual in the power distribution box in the engine
compartment (Ford recommends disconnecting your battery)
Relay # 5 is the fuel pump relay , and also in the PD BOX is a 20 amp mini-fuse
for the fuel pump relay + RAP module in location # 9

( P.S. - don't forget your fuel pump inertia switch , in the right front passenger area ,
by the right front kick panel )Sometimes this gets kicked by passenger or if the car is bummed hard it could set this item to shut down fuel system. Best of Luck

SOURCE: trying to locate fuse for fuel pump for 04 ford

It's location is in the fuse/relay box under the hood. It's a 20 amp fuse in position 23.

If the fuse is OK there's a fuel pump shut off switch located under the the glove box just above the carpet. To reset it, turn the ignition switch off, push the button on the switch, then turn the ignition on wait a few seconds then turn the ignition off.

Hope this helps

How can I get my 1990 Ford LTD crown Victoria LX started?

Based on the information provided, it seems like you have already checked and replaced several components related to the fuel system and electrical system in your 1990 Ford LTD Crown Victoria LX. However, you are still experiencing issues with the fuel gauge, low fuel light, and the engine not starting. Here are a few additional suggestions to try:

  1. Check the fuel pump relay: The fuel pump relay controls power to the fuel pump and can sometimes be a culprit for a no-start condition. Locate the fuel pump relay in the engine compartment fuse box (you may refer to the owner's manual or a diagram for the exact location) and try swapping it with a known working relay of the same type to see if that resolves the issue.

  2. Check for fuel pressure: Even though you have replaced the fuel pump, sending unit, and fuel lines, it's possible that there could still be an issue with fuel pressure. Use a fuel pressure gauge to check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail to ensure that it is within the manufacturer's specifications.

  3. Check for spark: Make sure that you are getting spark to the spark plugs. You can use a spark tester or a spark plug tester to check for spark while cranking the engine. If there is no spark, it could indicate an issue with the ignition system, such as a faulty ignition coil, ignition module, or distributor.

  4. Double-check wiring connections: Verify that all the wiring connections related to the fuel system, ignition system, and starter are properly connected and secured. Check for any loose or damaged wires, and ensure that all connections are clean and free of corrosion.

  5. Consult a professional: If you have already tried the above steps and are still experiencing issues, it may be best to consult a professional mechanic or an authorized Ford dealer for further diagnosis and repair. They will have access to specialized diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge to help identify and fix the issue.

As for the fuse box diagram, you can typically find it in the owner's manual of your vehicle. If you do not have a physical copy of the owner's manual, you may be able to find a digital copy online or request one from Ford customer service. Additionally, some vehicles may have the fuse box diagram printed on the fuse box cover or inside the fuse box lid. Double-check these locations to see if you can find the diagram you need.

Remember to always exercise caution when working on your vehicle's electrical system and consult a professional if you are not familiar with automotive repair procedures.

Fuse panel location 1984 ford ltd

The fuse block is usually located under the drivers side dashboard...many require you remove the under dash panel to see it. You can go online to find an owners manual for your 84 LTD...if you plan on keeping this car, the manual is most helpful. Also the service manual should still be available through Ford, or online...you probably son't need the service manual unless you are exposed to many repairs. Hope this helps.

I own a 1985 ford LTD Crown Victory and Iv been looking for 4 god damn hours for the fuse diagram because I need to know which fuse goes to the Fuel Pump. Iv got to change the fuel filter and all I can...

the fuel pump is control with a fuel pump relay if the system has fuel injection.a fuel pump relay turns on for 3to 5 seconds and turns off unles the engine is running.Older Ford models also have a fuel cutoff if the car is in a collision . but if you slam the door or hit a bump it will also cutoff. the switch is black with a white button on top of it and I think it is located under dash on passenger side ,behind the kick panel close to the door..if you push on button and
it clicks you have found the problem.Otherwise I would suspect fuel pump inside fuel tank.If thats the case sometimes you can tap on the tank a few times and make that part work.good luck

We have a 85 ford ltd that will not start. it has 8 gallons of gas in it and my husband thinks the fuel pump may need a fuse. could this be a possibility?

Do you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail? If so the fuse and pump relay should be good. Is the fuel filter 10 years old and clogged up? Do you hear the fuel pump start when cycling the ignition on and off. Probably lost a fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump. If you got fuel your no start could be a number of other ignition issues.
