Re: filling coolent in mazada
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Initially, the coolant not needing a refill is a very good sign. It indicates that the colling system of your engine have no leaks and therefore is working as expected, to maintain operating engine temperature.
On the other hand, the left wheel going hot while difficult to drive with vibrations would indicate the there are problems on that particular wheel. Most probable problem would be wornout brakepads that of course would need replacing. It may be to your advantage to replace both left and right at the same time. Likewise, pls inspect the rotor, it may have been damaged and may require a re-surfacing. A remote possibility is defective wheel bearing.
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy New Year.

get test tool called a block tester (a free loner tool from Autozone) the test fluid for tester is about $8.00 us open hood on your car make sure fluid in coolent resivour is about 3 inches low so u dont get coolent in tester. run car at high speed till it is hot be careful opening resivovr that u dont burn yourself. put blue fluid in tester, put tester in resivour sealing it as best as possible squeeze bulb for up to 2 minutes sucking only air. if fluid turnes yellow you have a head gasket leek. they dont always blow white smoke.but may if you drive them long enough. if this is helpful please leave me great feed back.
why do you keep filling it up? If you overfill either the radiator or the reservoir it is as bad as not filling up... Is there a temperature issue? If the reservoir is NOT using, or appearing to 'use' any coolant.. then that is a good thing.. it IS a reserve tank, a reservoir.. tank for overspill and should never be more than 1/3 full..
time to change the radiator fluid also flush out the system good the brown stuff is surface rust no big deal just have it flushed or do it yourself. make sure you have the proper coolent these days there are 2 main typs of coolent, to put it simply the green stuff and the orange stuff. my chevy truck takes the orange stuff. now you could be seeing old orange stuff and it may look brown to you so make sure you replace it with the correct fluid because they dont mix and you will do damage to your car. also if you find out you have orange coolent in your car you CANNOT MIX THIS WITH WATER.. it will also damage your car..if you have orange and decide to flush out the radiator it might be a good idea to have it done at a shop.. they will know how to do it correctly. if it takes green fluid its simple to flush and repalce it yourself because you CAN MIX WITH WATER. i hope this helps...
add coolent, your coolent is low your heat will than return dont forget to check for leaks. cooling system should be tested with a cooling tester.you may have to take it to a radiator repair shop to have it tested..
You have to bleed the coolant system. There are some bleeder screws, with hex heads on them.Hold the bottom nut and gently loosen the top until water and air flow, with the system not running. When the air is not present, tighten back down gently. If the air won`t bleed out, then fill the coolant reservoir over the full mark about 3/4 way full.Make sure radiator is full, and start engine with ac off.Let it run befor it bubbles or gets too hot, turn engine off,and let it set for about 35 to 45 minutes.Check coolant reservoir to see if the coolant level has dropped. It should have dropped,if so repeat until the reservoir stops loosing fluid. The fans should come on,and go off by them selves. When this happens, then the cooling system is perfect. This I hope helps, please let me know the email@example.com
sensor is in the coolant jug on right side of car. you will see a plug on bottom of tank this is sensor. A lot of times you can smack the jug a few times and this will jar the sensor it gets stuck sometimes. or pull off tank and clean out.
