Judging by labor times if its the 2.2 liter it only pays 8/10ths , can't be that bad , if its the 2.4liter , it pays 1.2 hrs , could be a little more tricky. good luck with that

I have a 98 Ford Explorer. Was driven yesterday and today went to go somewhere and would not start. I know it is not the battery its brand new. Its not the corrosion of the battery connection. I am...

Check at the starter if it has never been changed it might have a push on spade connector that isn't making a good connection. Unplug and plug back in to see if this helps. If that doesn't work make sure you have juice on the small wire at the starter when the key is in the crank position. If it does then it probably is the starter.

98 Ford Explorer Brake lights not working, top brake light does

I had a similar problem like this with my 98 explorer once; neither brake lights worked and the top one stayed on very dimly at all times. It turns out both of my brake lights went bad at exactly the same time, which for some reason made the top light stay on. Felt like an idiot, but all I needed to do was change the bulbs.

Not cranking or turning over

It can either be the alternator, not likely, or an electrical problem. This just happened to a friend of mine with their Explorer and I believe it was a a loose fuse or wire and he fixed it himself.
