Re: 2002 diville radio wont stay on for more than 5 sec
Hi i have a 2002 dts and had the same problem. i recently had work done to my car and suddently my radio stop playing. well recently my battery went dead and i got a jump start and that fixed the problem. maybe if you disconnect your battery and re-connect that might reset the system. i found out the hard way, but since i jumped my car the radio has been fine.

hi, does the radio go back the standard settings when you turn off the key, if it does than try checking the fuse for the constant power supply as this controls the time memery and the settings for the stations, if not try holding the station button down for 3 to 4 sec hope this helped
Check the battery, or you can reprogram the key yourself.
1. turn the key to on position in car and turn off within 5 sec. 2. hold the arm button (the big one in the center) 3. Press the unlock button three (3) times 4. release the arm button 5. turn key to on position and off within 5 sec.
The Low Tire Pressure Indicator must be reset using the Radio. This can only be performed if you have the factory radio installed in the vehicle. This vehicle does not come with an active tire pressure management system, and as such, this light must be reset manually.
1.) Turn Radio Off
2.) Hold down disp button for 10 seconds
3.) Setup Menu should display
4.) Scroll through menu to view "Tire Pressure" (use seek buttons)
5.) Select the Tire Pressure option (Press Radio Button 1)
6.) Reset should be displayed on screen (Press disp button)
7.) Tire Pressure Light should reset
Thats not true about only the Dealer can do it YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF ...HERES HOW....With the car off..Be sure the Radio is also off, Turn the ignition half way so the cars electronics power up ,BUT DO NOT TURN ALL THE WAY KEEP MOTOR OFF! ...With the key turned half way and the electronics powered on hold down the Tune button on your radio at the same time you turn your key hold for abouut 10 sec... then a menue will come on ALL OF YOUR SETTING ARE IN HERE....Now you can navigate to the tire monitor section and reset it ....PRETTY COOL HAHH
I assume you bled off fuel pressure before you installed the injectors. Try this to pressurize the fuel system. Turn the key to "on" position and wait 5 seconds. AT same time, listen carefully for a buzz sound that means the fuel pump is running to pressurize the system. It will shut off after 5 seconds. Then, turn off the key and wait 30 seconds for the computer power relay to shut off. Then, turn the key to "on" again. Thsi will run the fuel pump for another 5 seconds. Repeat 5 times. Fuel system should be pressurized now.
If it doesn't start now, you may have done something while you were changing the injector. good luck
This worked for me (radio in 2003 VW Golf):
Radio says "CHECK" but is otherwise unresponsive. Turning car or radio on/off doesn't help.
On the far right of the radio, there's a round TUNER button. Press it for 5 seconds. Your screen will then show some digits, but the unit is still unresponsive.
Press tuner button again for 5 seconds. Radio should now be 100% again. Let me know if this works for you.
