Question about 1998 Ford Contour
Car not coming out of park. blower on heater not coming on, found a bad fuse on that one still can't get car out of park. Checked most of the fuses not sure about the big fuses, does a tech have to replace them?
With the key on and engine running , brake pedal must be depressed to come out of park , assuming you are pushing the brake pedal and it won't come out of park , try turning the car off , bearly turn the key but not all the way to the run position , and see if it will come out now , that will tell us if the safety device is malfunctioning .
