No high beams on 1999 Dodge Caravan; low beams work fine

Low beams on 1999 Dodge Caravan (3.3L, 6 cylinder, Flex Fuel) work fine, but when you pull turn signal stick toward you to turn to brights, lights go out all together. Click stick again, and low beams come back on.

The headlight seems to be all one piece - no separate high/low bulb. Also, does not seem to be relay as we switched it with a working relay and it still did not work. Any suggestions? Is this an easy/cheap fix?

Thank you very much!

Have you checked the fuses in the power distribution box under the hood? there is a box on the drivers side with relays and fuses in it. There should be two fuses there for headlights.

2002 Dodge Caravan headlamps: one works on dim the other works on high beam but not together. Also only one daytime running lamp.

Your van has dual diligent headlamp bulbs, that means each headlight has one bulb that serves as high beam and low beam. What has most likely happened is on one side the low beam filament has burnt out, and on the other side the high beam filiment has burnt out. The daytime running lights are just the high beam filament running on reduced power, so if the high beam doesn't work on one side, that same side will have no daytime running light. Replace both headlamp bulbs with matching, good quality bulbs.

I have a 2005 dodge caravan. the headlights have

On the van you have a high beam fuse and relay. On the low beam you also have a fuse and relay. Check the fuse/relay panel for a blown fuse controlling the low beam lights. If you do not find a blown fuse have some one to turn the key on and turn on the high beam lights> During this time locate the low beam headlight relay and place your finger on top of relay, have the other person to switch from high beam to low beam lights. You should feel a click in the relay when they make the switch from high to low beam. If not replace the relay and the problem should go away. Hope this will help you.

Headlights wont work

Fuse 22 and fuse 23 are left and right low beam headlamp fuses located in the PDC. 23 and 24 are high beam fuses. There is also a low beam and a high beam relay in PDC as well. If no headlights work I would check for main switch or multifuction switch (wiper/high beam) since each light has its own fuse and relay.

Low beam not work !!

replace the headlight bulbs. Usually when the bulbs blow out the low beam blows out first, but the high beams still work. If you want and need both low and high beams to work then replace the headlight bulbs with brand new ones and I garauntee that both low and high beams will work

No high beams, problem is not multifunction switch

Check the headlight switch to make sure that the connections or internal connections aren't corroded. This was a major problem for older fords, so it would be good to check it anyway.
