1998 ford ranger 3.0 motor auto.transmission slips driven cold

Recently rebuilt transmission over 90 days ago.this month i had fix my water pump. now when i pull out in the morning my transmission slip and a big jolt to first gear and it may happen twice on the way to work in the beginning of the trip which is 40 miles one way. after the first few minutes of this the truck runs fine. my truck is parked inclined in the driveway all night. and at work is parked parallel. when i leave work at night it drives fine in cold start with no jolts. ps.the transmission garantee expired. thanks Nestor Gonzalez

What is the (revolutions per minute) rpm of your engine when the torque converter engages, was the torque converter rebuilt too? what type torque converter is in the ford ie low stall where it engages the gear box at around 900 to 1000 rpm. has there been any power band adjustment by the company that rebuilt your automatic transmission after the insallation.

Intermitente starting problems & transmission seemed to go out the other day while driving it

sounds more like an engine issue off the top of my head. The transmission runs off the vacuum from the engine. If the engine timing chain is stretched it will run then not run, have problems idling and shifting and won't charge the battery properly. anyone who has done one before could probably tell you just by the sound of the engine running.

My 2002 chevrolet 2500hd 4 wheel drive will not engage. Light does not come on. Worked last winter. Transmission was rebuilt last summer. After about a month, I heard a loud kerplunk. It was real cold here...

I would check the wire harnesses for damage (pinching, cuts and such) from the transfer case. There may be damage from the trans install. Also fuse panels both under hood and interior. Since no lights are on it is probably a fuse or the harness is disconnected.

Recently had the transmission on my 1998 accord rebuilt. Now, in the morning, it shifts hard into second and slips into third for about 5 to 8 minutes and then it shifts normally for the rest of the day....

hmm.. well a cold shift issue ....remember heat expands all things so most likley there was an error with your repair i would take it back to who serviced it asap before your warranty runs out....good luck

2003 Chevy Impala transmission

Did you have it serviced or rebuilt, If you had it rebuilt I would take it back to the trans shop for warranty repairs.
If they just changed the trans filter I don't think it would cause your problem. You just have bad luck with the slipping trans
