There should be an adjuster on there that will allow you to tighten it up.usually a nut with a washer on it.

How do i replace the transmission on a 01 sable with a DOHC engine. while the transmission is cool it shifts okay after it warms up the transmmission slips and doesn't want to pull itself. Is this a bad...

It's one thing when they don't shift, but when they slip, it is rebuild time. You will have to take it to a shop, they will swap it out for $1999.00, they are crooks, but what are you going to do. Get a few quotes, you can do it yourself, but it is hard work. You can rebuild it your self, but you have better be real good with nuts and bolts and patience and have a big book handy and about $500 in parts, and tools. You could also try a can of miracle transmission fixer, sometimes it works, it might buy you some time. It swells up the seals to stop it from slipping and leaking. It didn't work on my truck, but I had nothing to lose but the $15 for the stuff. Hope this helps.

Gas leak

You just replace the O rings and check if its leaking ,before doing replacement check for blocked injectors which is causing this problem:

Problems with transmmission codes

you probably have a "overheat code stored" , because your radiator cracked and all coolant leaked out. check the radiator on top to see if the top of it is cracked. good luck

Could you elaborate a bit more? When you put it in gear it doesn't move? Does the gear engage? Is it stick or auto? Did this problem show up suddenly or gradually? Have you had the problem before?

You could be looking at a transmission problem. Even a shot engine normally has enough power to move the vehicle, if not slowly.
