The turn signals dont work but the emergency flasher does
When you select left or right do any of the bulbs come on? If you select left check front and back left side if one of the bulbs did not come on the flasher will not work. Change the bulb that is out. Same with the right. If the fuse for the turn signal is good (check fuse or replace do not use visual, some appear to be good but are not).
The emergency flasher is different from the turn signal flasher. Look at manual for location of turn signal flasher. If you manually lift and lower turn signal control you may hear a clicking under the dash to locate the flasher.
BOTH SIGNAL AND FLASHER ARE LOCATED ON DRIVER SIDE UNDER DASH ABOVE THE KICK PANEL MOUNTED AT THE BOTTOM OF CONVENIANCE PANEL
Why does the electric slide door on my 95 transport shut and open never satying shut

The flashers are located behind the instrument panel trim, roughly between the base of the steering wheel and the ashtray, just to the left of the car lighter. To access the flashers, you need to at least loosen the lower instrument panel trim. Just under the steering column there are two screws with star heads. One to the left of the column and one to the right. You need to remove both of these screws. You will need to remove your ashtray. On the upper left corner of the hole left by removing the ashtray is a 9/32 hex head screw. You need to remove it. Once these three screws are removed you should be able to pull down on this portion of trim under your instrument cluster. When you do this it may cause trim around your instrument cluster to loosen that you can just pop back into place with your hand. You won't need to pull down to far on this trim piece as there are still some screws holding the bottom. You should be able to pull it down far enough to see the flasher units behind and just to the left of the cigarette lighter. There are two flasher units and I found that the one on the right is for the turn signals. On the left the other is for the hazard flashers. It may be a hand scraping experience to replace the flasher but it beats paying someone to do it for you. They are easy to recognize because the are silver and round metallic plug ins. The flasher unit on the left is for the emergency flashers and the one on the right is for turn signals. You can place the emergency flasher unit into the slot the turn signal unit belongs until you get a replacement. These flasher units are pretty cheap.

The emergency flasher and the turn signal flasher are two separate items. You could have a defective T/S flasher.

Check fuses , they operate on different circuits, ie ignition or battery dependant on switchwork. But unlikely to be a short in indicator circuit seen as 4way works fine but still may be a fault in a shared circuit . You may be down another electrical componant but are unaware at the moment ! Good luck

it is inside, under dash, on left side is a plastic sound protector, mine had 3 screws holding it up, drop this down and straight in you will see a 1" round thing - this is the flasher, pull it out and replace with new one (there are two flat prongs that plug in). It appears this is a well guarded secret!

yes happens all the time. I've had to replace mine like many other vette owners. Order it from gmpartsdirect.com and search vette forums for how to replace hazard switch. You should find the directions on how to replace it without taking apart the whole dash. Not very diffiecult.

I have the same problem no lights came on but the hazard lights do work. I replaced the turn signal flasher and the turn signals now work, but now the flasher buzzes when the turn signal switch is off, but the buzzing stops when i turn the turn signal on (either left or right). I replaced the turn signal/hazard switch and it still buzzes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
After spending several hours trying to find the problem with my turn signal problem I gave up and sat in the car frustrated. I started giggling the ing. key in the on position and all of a sudden the lights started to work. I haven't confirmed that it is the ing switch but maybe this could be the problem.
where is the flasher fuse locatedon a 95 buick skylark
where is the flasher fuse located on a 95 buick skylark
mine stop working no noise
So far i have checked the ground it's fine the problem was in the wire for the turn signal. It seems to be the only one causing the buzzing, the wire splits from the flasher to the turn switch and to a white box. I disconnected the wire to the switch and it still buzzes. i took out the white box(has a circuitboard in it) and the buzzing stopped with hazards and turn signals working fine. In the service manual this box is called the convenience center. since i unplugged it the interior lights, seat belt alarm, ignition/key alarm and headlight left on alarm, won't work. going to a junkyard today to try to find that part, can't find it in any parts store, PN number on the box doesn't show anything on ACDELCO site, and dealer would probably want an arm/leg and left ear for that part. any help or information on this part would help A LOT!! THANKS!
hazard flasher on always unless headlights but still hear clinking from dash
i have this same rpoblem in my 95 jeep cherokee the hazards work but not the turn signals, and i tried replacing the flasher with no avail
My left turn signal will light up (front & back) but will not flash. The right one is OK & works just fine. All of the lights work when the hazard switch is on.
I have a 97 dodge avenger 2.0, the turn signals will NOT work, however when I put on my fourways/hazard lights- they work--sound and all lights. I went to change the fuse, using the same amp (10) only the drivers side light inside would work, and even in the off position, they continue to blink. I got a flasher/starter unit but cannot locate where it is. I tried following the blink sound but no luck. I went online, to find a diagram- however the flasher unit housing does not look anything like the unit I purchased. Is the unit inside the housing? reason I question, is I dont want to have to remove the heater/radio cover to access said unit and it not be it.
Any assistance greatlty appreciated. PS. Is there a diagram online that shows all parts to this make/model of car so that I could have as a reference.
thanks guys!
