Question about 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
First and second work fine but drive and o/d are more like neutral when trying to shift into them
Two trucks with the same problem.does not sound good. how many miles on thies trucks? when was the last time the trans was serviced? if its been awhile it might be time for a trans chg. or you can try a oil and filter chg. you are only out about 30.00 bucks or so for this. but first i would pull the dip stick and smell the oil if it smells burnt that might not help. if its well over 50000 miles sense its been serviced 86 that trans. for a rebuild or a used one from your local bone yard. but if you do not know what to look for i recommend a rebuild. good luck.
