I have a 11/96 ssangyong musso.The engine was sluggish so I started with washing the engine down. so as to complete any necessary repairs. I then had an issue occuring as the engine got hot that it became sluggish so I used circuit board cleaner on the cam angle sensor to remove any potential elactrical tracking, this solved the initial problem. tHE PROBLEM NOW IS THAT WHEN i SWITCH THE MOTOR OFF it will not fire unless I disconnect and reconnect the battery, therby resetting the computor. If the car is left to cool completely It will start, though only initially, If I turn it off and attempt to restart it again I need to disconnect the battery wait a few minutes and reconnect, it then runs like a watch.

Have you had any codes pulled?
A cold start issue may be related to a coolant sensor problem. When the engine is cold the engine control module will enrich the fuel mixture for start based on the reading it receives from the coolant sensor.
You can have it checked when cold and the temperature reading should match the out door temp. A scan tool will be required. Or replace the sensor, I believe the cost is less than $20.

i think the problem is in the fuel line. i have encounter it too.. the best way is to replace all fuel filter. muzzo have 3 fuel filter. 2 located at the engine and the other one located at the fuel tank they called it as strainer. u can see the opening of the tank underneath the back seat of the car. also good suggestion clean the tank. duel dirt is the main cause of your problem cause muzzo have only a small tip that why only little dirt can cause plunging in engine. sory for bad English
