How do you drain the coolant on 1998 buick skylark?

on the passenger side of the radiator you will find a drain **** on the bottom facing the motor. they are made of plastic and usually white in color. it will only open a half of a turn. Be sure the motor is completely cool before opening this as the coolant will be hot if not. Good luck

Power window off track, motor still works

your window does not ride on a track the motor has a gear that drives a mechanism up and down. it sounds like the motor came loose.

I have a 1997 buick skylark (4-door). power windows dont work properly. when i togle the switch, it will go down slightly then stop. as i drive around the block it will go down further. acts as if i...

Some times the tracks that the window rides in (inside the door) get gunked up and dirty with the factory lube and dust. this makes the window motor work harder and the overheat and stop. Clean the tracks that the window rollers are in and relube using white grease. the windows should work easer and smoother.

Driver side window rolls down. when it goes up it stop. after a little while it will go up a little more but not all the way. it takes several times to close window.

motor has a thermal protection need a window motor, and the regulator and tracks checked 4 binding..I just replaced a motor on a cutlass pass. side now the drivers side is doing the same can pull up on the window and help it a little by opening the door and placing palms of hands on glass and pulling up on glass while some one else pushes the button..otherwise it takes repeated attempts as you described.motor is not cheap, aftermarket or dealer.

I asked about the speed to figure out if possibly the motor is in a bind, and would over draw on power.

You're going to have to get a multi meter, and do a voltage draw test on A) first do it at the switch on the passenger side B) test the draw on the driver side, operating the passenger side window.
Compare the 2 and see if there is a significant different between the two.

Since changing the switch doesn't fix the problem, I would begin to look for a knick or a cut in the wiring from the drivers door through to the passenger side (the passenger side wiring (except for power) is in a sepreate loom).
