2003 Chrysler Town & Country DVD Player doesn't output picture to screen, audio on right side only.

2003 Chrysler Town & Country DVD Player will play disk but doesn't output picture to screen. Also, the audio only comes through the right side speakers. Connecting an external DVD player to the audio/video RCA jacks on the in dash DVD player does output to the screen and full stereo.

I am able to remove the unit fairly easily. Wonder if I can take it do a local repair shop? Oh wait, since we don't manufacture anything in the US anymore, there are no more electronic repair shops left.

The cost to repair it will cost you more then to just buy a used one from a auto wrecker.

Not the solution I was hoping for, but absolutely the most practical. If fact, I may as well consider some aftermarket options as the same money would go much further.

SOURCE: Just bought 2005 Chrysler Town and Country and no

Naturally you could get them from Chrysler parts, if you want to save, go to radio shack and let the associate there check out the jack and he can come up with an inexpensive solution.

Chrysler town and country; rear seat dvd has no picture. Hear sound. Get picture and sound from Auxillary jacks so it is not the screen. Ran cleaner in player. didn't help

If you are getting sound and picture from the screen's auxiliary jacks, then this only confirms that the screen is faulty. The DVD player must be reading the picture signal as it supplying the auxiliary jacks, but the screen has failed to display the signal.

My dvd unit will not work nor does the monitor turn on

First check the interior fuses. The DVD player and Monitor should be on a separate fuse which will cause an issue if a fuse is blown.

I can't get my factory radio to play while my factory dvd is playing through the speakers on my 2003 town and country

That is intentional; the car radio audio is disabled while the player is working. The previous owner of my Town and Country had a modification done that disabled this by switching off the signal to the radio, so the kids can use the headphones, and I can get my talk radio fix on long trips. It was done by the dealer, so they should be familiar with the procedure.

Locassion of output speed sensor on 2003 Town and Country

The input and output speed sensors look identical on the connector side. The one over the solenoid pack is the input, the one closer to the left frame rail or left front wheel is the output sensor. I hope this helps.
