You will need to take out the screws that hold the armrest, and the panel is held to the door with plastic or nylon peices that just snap in. you can get a special tool to pry these out at any automotive parts store.

Do i have to remove the door panel to take off door speaker covers? Speaker covers are starting to rust and want to remove all 4 speaker covers on door just to paint them. Trying to remopve without...

I believe that your speaker covers are clipped in through the back of the panel and won't come out through the front without breaking some of the clips. The proper way would be to remove the door panels and remove the covers out the back of the panel.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can remove the panel

Speaker in back left passenger door keeps kicking in and out. I really don't want to replace the entire stero system.

You could just change that one speaker.

You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you can unscrew the speaker and disconnect the wires and replace with a new one

AUDIO ISSUES !!

you have probably blown a few speakers... all of the speakers are in the door panels. the easiest way to test them is to hook a known good speaker up to that connector, if the good speaker works you have a blown speaker. you should check to see if someone hasn't adjusted the fade or balance in the stereo settings first, the door panels can be a pain to get off and break very easily...hope this helps good luck!

Removing a door panel on a 1988 chevy C15 truck

There should be a couple of screws on the arm rest that you need to remove and probably one on the door handle then you need to find something to pry the panel off with, without breaking the plastic clips. They make a special tool for this that you can buy for just a few dollars at any auto parts store. If attempting to do it without the right tool be careful not to break the clips.

I think you are talking about the speaker grille.  Which is the cover for to protect the speaker and not actually the speaker. You would have to remove the door panel to see the speaker, unless trhey are aftermarket speakers.  In which case a stereo shop would have these.  If it is a stock speaker.  Then this is part of the door panel . Try a auto dismantler in your area.
