Question about 1998 Chevrolet K1500
My truck is a 1998 chevy 1500 c pickup i have replaced the fuel pump and purged the lines of air and it still will only for a few seconds i have also checked the fuel filter that is mounted on the frame now i need to know what else to do
Take your ignition module to advance auto and have it tested when they go bad they will work momentarily as soon as they start to heat up they quit working and the vehicle dies

There is a relay that supplies the voltage to the fuel pump during starter operation and for two seconds after start-up. There is another relay that closes to provide the run voltage.
The run relay is located in the fuse/relay box mounted on the left inside fender. See the cover label.
Another source of your problem could be the igniton switch, as it returns to the run position, with contact failure.
Also check all the fuses, you never can tell with these computerized motors withou having the actual wiring diagrams.
