Re: difference between hyundai 2.7v6 and hyundai 3.3 v6
It is the same block, different bore and stroke. You can switch them, but the internals aren't as strong in the 3.3L and the time/money/trouble you would go through to do the swap would not be worth it.

The Fuel Economy of the 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe is listed as being 16 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Digiprog3 Odometer Correction Tool
Yes, the PCSV (Purge Control Solenoid Valve) is usually the cause of difficulty in starting the engine after refueling. The 2004 Santa Fe came with three different engines and this valve is located in different places on each engine (2.4 (4 Cylinder), 2.7 V6 and the 3.5 V6). Go to www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #.. you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop & owner manuals, service bulletins, campaigns, illustrations and procedures, etc
The 2002 Santa Fe came with three (3) different engines - 2.4 4cyllinder, 2..7 V6 and the 3.5 V6. Only the 2.4 lit 4 cylinder and the 3.5 lit V6 have EGR systems. The 2.7 lit V6 does NOT. Go to www.hmaservice.com and register your vehicle by VIN #.. you'll then have access to wiring diagrams, shop manuals, service bulletins, illustrations and procedures, etc.
Which engine is it? 2.7 Lit V6? 2.4 I4 - 4 cylinder? or the 3.5 V6? Each one is different.
1. 2.4 I4, 4 cylinder - located at the front of the engine at the crankshaft (behind timing belt cover)
2. 2.7 Lit V6 - Near transmission on the left hand side in the engine block behind the right edge of the exhaust manifold
3. 3.5 lit V6 - located at the front of the engine at the crankshaft (behind timing belt cover)
Not possible. The 2005 Sonata came with two different engines - the 2.4 I4 and the 2.7 V6. On the 2.4 I4, the alternator is near the firewall and on the 2.7 V6 it's in the front near the radiator. Neither one is near any motor mounts. The four (4) motor mounts are located on either side of the transmission and at the engine front top and the transmission rear. Something else is in your way, perhaps the right side engine compartment side rail.
If it's anything like the Tiburon, there are two different locations, depending on which engine you have. The 2.0 liter 4 cylinder computer is located under the dash, driver's side, near the steering column shaft...
On the 2.7 V6, it's located on the passenger side, front A pillar near the glove box..
