Question about 2002 Toyota 4Runner
Removed the nut and antenna but found that over half of the notched cable remained inside the power unit. How do I get to it and remove the remainder of the cable. Turning on the radio did not assist in raising what was left of the cable.
Sometimes you can put the new antenna cord in the motor, even with the old piece in there, and not have a problem. But, if it makes noise, the fender well needs to be pulled back, and the antenna motor removed enough to pull the back plate off,and remove the rest of the plastic cord. I have done MANY MANY of these. Its easy, some plastic clips, 1 10mm bolt, and some phillips screws.
