the carrier bearing is located between the yokes and I don't know how to take the drive shaft apart to change it. Is there a bolt behind the front yoke that will alow the drive shaft to come apart at the bearing or is it welded??

Usually the driveshaft is not able to be taken apart unless you are talking about removing the U-joint connecting the two part driveshaft. If that is what you are talking about, great! If not, then you need to be more specific.

To replace the centre bearing you first remove driveshaft from vehicle.
Pull the shaft apart at the middle universal joint.
On the back of the section that has the centre bearing you will see a nut that holds the uni ears onto the shaft.
Undo the nut and remove the ears. Then press the centre bearing off the shaft and reassemble with new one.
Hope this is more helpful.

Go to pay pal and set up an account. You can either put a deposit into that account from which pay pal will pay the bill or set it up using a visa card so that they debit the amount of the bill after you enter permission via a security number that you know on the card. Personally I use PayPal all the time as the money is guaranteed to be paid or recovered if the deal is not legal

How would i know if my cv joint is going bad on my 94 ford ranger 2 wheel drive

A two wheel drive ranger does not have any c.v. Joints. It does have u joints in the rear drive shaft. Worn out u joints can cause vibrations at highway speeds, squeezing noises at low speeds, and in some cases a clunking noise when the transmiissin is placed in park or drive. You can check them by pulling the drive shaft and ratting the joint. If it is stiff or loose than they are likely bad. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using!

On an 89 Ford Ranger the truck is whipping back and forth while driving down the road. The ball joints seem fine.

You have a 21 year old vehicle. Put it on a lift and inspect all the suspension and steering components. You more than likely have worn suspension bushings. Any play in any bushings is too much. You also may have worn tie rods, etc. An inspection on a lift will tell you what needs to be done.
