Question about 2000 Kia Sephia
I used the car last night to come home from work the check engine light turned on. This afternoon I went to start the car and the car wouldn't start it cranked but then after awhile it just wouldn't even crank but the radio and comes on so I don't think it's the battery maybe it's the starter but not sure.
Hello. i am not a mechanic but maybe our cure for our kia would help someone else. our 2000 kia wouldnt start, the lights and everything would come on but it wouldnt turn over. we replaced starter, battery, etc. finally my husband just paid our mechanic $130 and we bypassed the starter with a manual push start button. now when it doesnt want to start i just hit the button (after i turn on the key) and it starts every time!

in between the door panel and the window crank there is a metal that has the shape of a "U". it just pulls off but you need first to see which way. it should work with a small screwdriver, if not something small that has a 90 degree head to put under that hinge and pull off.
