Re: Unlock radio code
The radio station buttons numbered 1 2 3 4 5 6. enter the 5 digit radio code there. if it locks up or goes to error you must remove the negative (-) battery cable to reset the radio and try again. it will let you try 3 times.
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Contact your local dealer, to have them explain how to
find or get the radio codes
Then have them explain how to install them
Some vehicles you can do from inside the car
Some require a professional scan tool
Nobody is supposed to have the complete database of codes, only authorised dealers. As
a security measure, any time the battery is disconnected, the radio is
Locked Out, and will not function until the security code is entered on
the radio itself. Furthermore, after 3 tries, it wont even accept the code on the radio display, showing the ERR condition.
Check for a sticker with the
radio code inside the glove box. Some
dealers fixed a second sticker in the owners manual. If not available,
get the code from a Honda dealer, and be prepared to show VIN number,
and proof of vehicle ownership. When you get hold of the code, disconnect
the battery for 15 min. This will erase the ERR condition, and allow
you to introduce the reactivation code.
The code in the Glove box is just the serial number to the stereo, It is
not the unlock code itself. Call a Honda dealer and give them this
number. They should give you the code for free. They did for me.
cheers hope that helps
when the repair facility replaced the starter they disconnected the battery causing the radio to be locked out. when disconnecting the battery a memory saver should be connected to the car. this is a simple device consisting of a 9v battery that plugs into the lighter socket. it keeps the computer memory intact until the battery is reconnected. the dealer will have the unlock code but probably charge you. i would attempt to hold the repair facility responsible.
if you disconnected the battery you need to put in the security code for it to work again. it has an anti theft device in it. if you dont have the code go to a honda dealership. or check the connection behind the radio its easy to do
