Question about 1993 Dodge Dakota

Step on acceartor truck stumbles and chaters like it is over heated and spits and sputers till you get to around 55 or 60mph when stoped idels speed gose up and down

    Sounds like a serouse vaccum leak. Check all your vaccum lines. A good tune up probly woudn't hurt! Spend a hundred bucks, do it yourself.

Dodge spits and sputers on half a tank


Have fuel pressure tested. Pump may be getting weak, filter plugged, or not likely but possible, hole in pick-up tube in tank. Make sure you try to have it tested when lower and spitting and sputtering.

Check your fuel filter again. Dirt from the tank could have clogged it again.

My 95 blazer is spitting and sputering at an idel and the tenp gage isnt working could that be one of the prolems


this is very likely.
It might be easier to replace the temp sending unit/switch first and check wires/connector(the actual wire connector at the sending unit/switch for a broken wire, dirt or short)

Can not hold speed


check airflow sensor just borrow one and testand or try kickdown adj,or throttle possition sensor,check for air leaks by spraying airosole flammable near intake manifold,if it revs higher theres a leak
