Hi there

before you can get into spark plugs your have to remove plastic covers then also remove the plastics on the bulk head unless you have small hands to get into back plug ---- after you have don this you have to then remove each individual connector on plug --- these can be tricky you have to twist unlitl they release and you could get into plug --- hope this helps

Hello ron, the control module should located behind the glove box. I believe on the 1999 models it is a white plastic. You will be able to see all the connectors plugged in to it.
I hope this helps.

Since your check engine light is on, you should try to get it read at Autozone. They will do this for free and it will narrow your search for your problem. It could be a couple of things. It could be as simple as a fuse or clogged air filter to bad spark plugs. Have you did anything to it?

1. What are the best spark pugs for a BMW 318 ti 1999 model 2.What oil is recommemded for same car

Bosch plugs are the best for the bmw's. Oil is up to how much money u want to spend. If you go with the best you have to keep using the best. I run synthic oil in my vehicles. It breaks down alot slower.

I have a bmw 318 ti 95 my problem is it keeps misfiring and has a poor idol

you may want to check the engine's timing. You may want to check also the spark plugs as it may tell you if you are advanced or not. A black tip spark plug would tell you that the timing is late while a little white is advanced. You need is a light brown color. If there is no problem on the timing you may want to check on the fast idle control valve and pcv if it needs a little cleaning.

318ti 1998 needs a tune-up. Can't see the spark plugs. Where?

Plugs are under the panel on top of the valve cover. Not hard to check/change out the plugs if you have the proper wrench. Don't over-torque the plugs when you re-install them!

You should have your fuel lines cleaned out have your spark plug's checked, Aswell as your air intake and you should also have the timing checked and that the plug are firing at the right time - Al these things can contribute to the problem since I have limited informtion this is al that I can tell you at this stage.
