Anything can be done for the right price ! Get quotes from transmission places, or dealer, they'll know if necessary harnesses are there for auto. Then you'll probably find out that trading it in on an automatic, is cheaper. Sorry but it's probably true.

Replaced front seal on my '97 Dodge Ram 1500, V6

Assembly of converter to trans and then tunit to engine? The torque converter must engage and slide into the front pump. The seal is easily damamaged if not properly fitted.Once the trans is against the engine the converter can be slid forward to bolt the flex plste. There should not be more than approx. 1/4 inch between the converter and trans bell housing if the converter is properly mated to the trans. Good Luck, Ned.

Dodge ram 1500 2001 codes coming up 0753 1757 1762 1765 trans not shifting proper trans in drive wont shift to lower gears automaticly

0753 is shift solenoid A, electrical problem.as for the other codes they should start with a zero not a one. if they started with a 0757 that means shift solenoid B,stuck in on position. 0762 means shift solenoid C,stuck in on position. 0765 means shift solenoid D,malfunction

I have a 1996 dodge ram 1500 5.9 with a transmission problem

Remove and check the trans electrical connector, this sounds like a connector problem, look for green corrosion or loose pins

Shifting into 4wheel drive

btwn 2H and 4H can be done while driving up to 55 mph.
btwn 4L and 4H must stop put into Neutral in automatic trans. - do not stop at N on 4WD shifter. One solid motion.
