This sounds like a fault with the horn unit itself and will need to be replaced

E24 6 Series BMW horn is shorting

This happens a lot with older vehicles. Inside the steering column there is a contact for the horn that is held in a plastic piece that in time will break and cause the horn to malfunction. This is not a part you should tackle yourself as you would need specific to vehicle tools such as pullers to get to the bad part. Seek out a reputable mechanic shop, most any will know how to fix it.

The horn on my bmw 328i stopped working. How do you trouble shoot? How to do you replace?

1.check the fuse 2.using a test light check for voltage at horn while horn button is depressed if power is present horn is bad.horn is located behind the bumper. 3. if no power at horn and fuse is good suspect clock spring this part requires removal of steering wheel to replace and test.

Parasitic current drawn on battery on bmw 530 d tourer 1999

put an ammeter in SERIES with one of the battery cables. pull each fuse and take a reading. when it goes down to the correct draw...whatever that is, that would be the circuit with the excess draw.

Power seat, horn, alarm, anything powered without the key is suspect.

Hello.

3 Series is one of the best performance cars in its price range.

BMW 3 Series is a drivers car: it was designed to make the driver enjoy driving.
For example the weight distribution of a BMW 3 series is 50% front 50% back which coupled with a rear wheel drive makes this car a blast to drive around corners.

The downside to being a performance/drivers car is that the complex suspension of the BMW requires frequent maintinance, and neglecting it may lead to a sub par performance of the car.

Some more general info about the BMW 3 series can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_3_Series
