Question about 1991 GMC Safari
I have a 91 Safari and starting yesterday, it would start then kill after a minute or less of idling, then not turn over again. I went out this morning to try and start it, it started right up but then killed again. There was no hissing before it stopped, just running, then not. I checked the battery and there is plenty of power. What are the posibilities??
Safari's tend to have alternators go bad, that is one cause. Auto Zone will test it free of charge.
Also, the rotor button on the distributer may be going bad.
I have had this same problem with two safar's and those are the two solutions that I have found.

This truck has a oil pressure switch that runs the fuel pump after the relay shuts off, could be bad.
