Question about 1998 GMC Sierra
When coming to a slow stop and applying the brakes, the ABS seems to kick in just before I stop. If you are moving and slam the brakes on in dry or slippery conditions they seem to work fine. The only time they act up is when you are almost at a stop. The peddle pulsates and feels like the ABS kicks in.The brakes are in good shape ( rotors ,pads, shoes drums ) the lines are good and full of fluid. The ABS light is not coming on. Please advise!! Thanks!!
Or you could just pull the fuse for the abs and not have abs but you won't wreck from pulsating pedal.

I have a 1998 Sierra and had the same problem. Had to replace the ABS sensors. Cost about $1000(canadian).

Make sure you're not using cheap fluid. The last place you want to cheat your truck is when it comes to your brakes.
Drain or **** the brake fluid out and replace with the best in the market at your local automotives store.
