Locate fuse for fan for bmw 318se 1999

The fuse must be in the main fuse box. The position of the fuses is normally marked on the inside of the fuse box cover and also in the owner's handbook. If you don't come right with these, work your way through the fuses looking for a blown one. To lessen your search the fan fuse (Heater)should be between 25 to 30 amps.

I have a 2002 530i and the fan motor for ac and heater doesnt work, it is a fuse problem possibly? The orange lights still work but not air comes out, Might be the fuse ??

the blower motor is usually located above the drivers feet ,
a blunt tap at the center of the assembly , may start it up,
indicating a bad motor, if not a fuse or power/ground problem.

The problem is not with the failed fan from a broken fuse, rather it is a problem in the electric motor fan because it is a very common problem with BMW E39, but E46 and E53! Switching the fan is completely controlled by signals from the motor and the computer is powered pres thick wires and securing them directly 70A fuse in the engine compartment in electrical box.

1988 bmw 325is heater keeps blowing 30amp fuse, tried to find a short but me heater blower fan isnt working what could be the problem. cant keep a fuse without blowing

More than likely the fan motor its self is short to ground try to unhook the wires to the fan motor and install a new fuse and then turn the fan on with the wires removed and if the fuse is still good you know it is the fan motor its self

Hi, this sounds like the heater resistor has failed, it is located on the right side of the heater box, if you remove the right hand kick panel from under the dash you should be able to see the wiring going under a black cover, they are tricky to replace but not impossible, hope this helps. regards mark.
