You have 2 computer codes that has to be removed find a mech with a code readed to tell you what they are. it could be something or nothing computers spit out codes sometimes when it gets damp out. have brake fluid checked engine light could be many things.

Jaguar X type 02 ABS light decided to come on and stay on, then the engine light joined in. Any ideas? No warning sign on the dashboard computers (as yet). Performance seems unaffected

You need to take it to a parts store or shop and see what the codes are. get the code and description. Then go from there.

My son has a 2005 Jaguar X Type...the brake and abs lights stay on plus the abs pump doesn't shut off when the car is off?

My best guess is a Speed / ABS sensor, it must keep sending a signal to the pump to kick in. If thats not it, i would take a shot in the dark and say ABS pump is getting stuck.. (The second is a GUESS, dont take my word for it please)
Jaguar / Ford can diagnose it, and tell you "Left rear sensor" or something.. Then just go and do the work yourself (If you have the "Know how" )

2001 jaguar s type. Traction controll fault light came on. 5 minutes later brake light comes on and at the same time abs light comes on. What could my problem be?

your traction control mechanism uses the abs breaks to slow the spinning and give you better traction. i'm thinking your traction control sensor has gone bad

Amber warning lights on.

I have a 2001 xtype and the same lights came on my dash, i had it plugged up to diagnostic and it was down to a split reluctor ring on the rear wheel, this set off the abs light which in turn sets off the management light. Will cost £200, but looks quite easy to repair by self

2001 S Type Jaguar ABS and Traction Control fault lights on

Hi First I suggest that you get a diagonostic check on ABS system. and then a visual inspection of the brakes. Warped brake rotors do not make noice, but the steering will start to judder when brakes applied at around speeds from 40 up . Possible cause that the vehile picked up something from road such as nylon/ plastic/stone Mike

Wont start

Hi
Had a similar problem with my x type 2.5 petrol, only had the car 1 day went to start it nothing happend all the lights came up on the dash but the engine wouldn't start and the immobiliser light stayed on. Spoke to Jaguar they had no idea and I couldn't get it to them. After disconnecting the battery trying to reset the immobiliser phoned and auto locksmith they came out and discovered the end of the key with the blade had lost it's coding and the immobiliser was not disarming, they reprogrammed the key and the car started no problem. As far as i know there is no way past the immobiliser. Hope this helps.
