Question about 1996 Nissan Maxima

I have a 96 nissan maxima GLE, im getting very little sound out of the radio even though the volume knob is all the way up. what could be the problem? Thx

    Have you adjusted the fade? back to front if so was it still very low?? or how about balance left to right ?? any change ?? if not this means that (if its a stock system) that the factory equalizer has a bad audio connection usually a ground

Either output trannys gone to roost or most likely cause is the speaker cones are split and dried out with age

same this happned to me in my 2006 sentra. the volume for the radio is gone. i can tune, its just barely audible/ quiet. weirdly though it sounds perfect when playing CDs. i almost thought maybe it got switched in to mute mode or something. did you figure out your problem?

I have a 96 nissan pathfinder i install a radio and im not getting any sound.


i found out that i wasn't geting any power to the amp, i used a harness specilly for the new radio, the harnes comes with blue with a white stripe, i connected it to the blue and white stipe wire from the radio harnes and now is working perfect.

I have an 13 Nissan Maxima GLE with the Bose


if disc is burnt one this can happen if disc is bought from store you may need to have unit removed to get it fixed,try disconnecting battery to see if it resets itself,some burnt CDs are nothing but trouble

While radio is turned off spray electronic contact cleaner behind volume knob while rotating knob . Make sure you have rag handy .

that sounds like you may need to replace the starter. the click you hear is the solenoid. the part that is just as important is the starter motor. unfortunately they are sold as one
